Statesville, NC (April 3, 2025) – In a press release this morning, Nashville (Tenn.) Fairgrounds Speedway officials announced the 2025 season opener scheduled for Friday and Saturday this week has been cancelled due to inclement and ongoing severe weather forecast for the area.

The event will now coincide with the U.S. Legends Cars Spring Nationals which will take place Thursday – Saturday, April 17-19.

It was announced earlier this season that West Virginia’s Isaac Kitzmiller would run over 30 Pro Late Model races with Rackley W.A.R.’s racing development program this year and the full season at Nashville is on that schedule. His father, Jason Kitzmiller – a part-time regular in the ARCA Menards Series was planning to run with the team this weekend and will also join Isaac for the season opener and for other events which are still being finalized by the team.

Dawson Sutton, the 2024 Pro Late Model champion at the Fairgrounds Speedway, is taking advantage of a break in NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series action this week and will travel to Thornburg, Virginia’s Dominion Raceway for the ASA Stars National Tour Super Late Model Appalachian Sucker Punch 250 on Saturday.
