Victoria’s Voice 200 Recap

Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Start: 16th | Finish: 26th | Driver Points: 23rd | Owner Points: 28th

Race Recap: Ty Dillon struggled with an ill-handling truck for much of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Victoria’s Voice 200 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway before settling for a 26th-place finish.

After running inside the top five during the Truck Series’ lone 20-minute practice session, Dillon qualified 16th after the truck bottomed out during his one-lap run.

Throughout stage one, several drivers in the field struggled with ill-handling trucks, including Dillon, who made multiple pit stops under the yellow to end stage one. Facing many of the same issues with the truck in stage two, the No. 25 Rackley Roofing / W.A.R. Shocks team opted to start work before pit road was open, forcing Dillon to restart at the tail end of the longest line.

Dillon did enter the top 15 briefly during a round of green flag pit stops late in stage three, however the handling issues proved to be too much. He nursed the truck home to a 26th-place finish, two laps down.
