Rackley Roofing 200 Recap

Nashville Superspeedway

Ty Dillon

Start: 35th | Finish: 15th | Driver Points: 18th | Owner Points: 22nd

Ty Dillon started at the rear of the field for Friday night’s Rackley Roofing 200 at Nashville Superspeedway after a throttle body issue prevented the No. 25 team from making a qualifying run. A pair of cautions early in stage one slowed Dillon’s progression, but he gained 13 spots and sat 23rd by the end of the stage.

After minor adjustments, Dillon began his march through the field, picking off trucks one by one before ultimately settling into 17th by the end of stage two. Initially, the No. 25 team planned to make a stop for four fresh tires under the yellow that flew just 10 laps after the restart, but a change of plans saw Dillon stay on track, gaining valuable track position along the way. He moved inside the top 15 and stayed there, taking the checkered flag 15th.

Start: 16th | Finish: 18th

In just his second Camping World Truck Series start and the first at his hometown track Nashville Superspeedway, Dawson Sutton qualified 16th for Friday night’s Rackley Roofing 200. The driver of the No. 26 Chevrolet dropped outside the top 20 by the end of stage one. After a stage break pit stop and minor adjustments, multiple cautions in stage two slowed Sutton’s forward progress. He ended stage two just outside the top 20.

Just 10 laps after the stage three restart, Sutton was down pit road once again for four tires. The green flag flew one final time, setting up a 32-lap dash to the finish. Sutton climbed to 19th with 10 laps remaining and managed to snag one more position by the time the checkered flag flew.
