TSport 200 Recap

Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park

Start: 20th | Finish: 18th | Driver Points: 19th | Owner Points: 23rd

Ty Dillon finished 18th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series TSport 200 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park following an early race spin.

After running 25th-quickest during practice, Dillon took the No. 25 Rackley Roofing / W.A.R. Shocks Chevrolet to a 20th starting position. Once the green flag flew, he remained around that part of the running order until he spun late in stage one. Dillon continued after avoiding contact with the wall and other competitors. He finished stage one in 26th.

An extended pit stop under the stage break saw Dillon restart stage two in 25th. Dillon entered the top 20 around midway through stage two and stayed there, ending the stage in 13th.

Under the stage break caution, crew chief Shane Wilson called for air pressure changes and a slight track bar adjustment to help with Dillon’s reports the truck was hitting the splitter under braking in turn 1.

Once the field restarted for stage three, the remainder of the race ran caution free, and Dillon ended the night in 18th, one lap down. He remains 19th in the driver standings with one race left to set this year’s playoff field.
